Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)
The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of D.A.V (PG) College serves as an integral body committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and equitable environment for all members of the college community. Established in accordance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013, the ICC is dedicated to ensuring dignity and respect for every individual, irrespective of gender, by addressing and preventing instances of sexual harassment.
Vision
To create a gender-sensitive and harassment-free campus where all individuals feel safe, valued, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
Objectives
1. To prevent and prohibit sexual harassment by promoting awareness and sensitization among students, faculty, and staff.
2. To provide a confidential, impartial, and accessible mechanism for redressal of grievances.
3. To ensure fair and just inquiry procedures in addressing complaints of harassment.
4. To support and protect the rights of complainants while safeguarding against any form of retaliation.
Functions of the ICC
1. Awareness and Training:
Organizing workshops, seminars, and awareness programs on gender equality and workplace safety.
Disseminating information about policies, procedures, and laws regarding sexual harassment.
2. Complaint Redressal:
Receiving complaints and conducting fair, unbiased inquiries into the reported incidents.
Ensuring confidentiality and timely resolution of cases.
3. Counseling and Support:
Providing emotional support and counseling services to affected individuals.
Recommending preventive and corrective measures to the college administration.
4. Policy Implementation:
Monitoring the implementation of policies related to gender sensitization and safety.
